Well designed products are vital to the experience a consumer has with a brand. We believe understanding consumers is the key to great product design. Our design capabilities include: consumer and enterprise Internet applications, websites, online and mobile games, cloud applications, mobile interfaces and applications on multiple platforms, social media, and interfaces embedded into other applications.
Our User Experience Methodology employs user-centered design and usability engineering in the process of designing websites and applications. Our goal is to improve overall usability and accessibility, to add new features and functionality, to establish and meet usability satisfaction metrics, and to integrate the improvements within the overall umbrella of our client’s interactive creative strategy. We use an agile design and prototype process as a framework to produce results quickly. We will also improvise where needed to keep deliverables on track and delivered quick.
What We Design:
- Enterprise Portals and Apps
- Consumer Websites and Apps
- Online and Mobile Games
- Web and Learning Applications
- Cloud Applications
- Mobile Interfaces
- Social Media Apps and Landing Pages
- Embedded Applications
Throughout the design process, GoPoint’s technologists and designers work alongside to ensure that the iterative designs can be implemented and are easy to use. We identify ways in which technologies open up opportunities for new functionality and better user experiences. This approach brings design and development together to inform and inspire one another. Doing so makes our designs more innovative, our software more scalable and our user experience more reliable.
UX / IA Process and Sub-Tasks:
Assessment of the Current State
- Conduct interviews with the internal Advertising Week Project Team to understand the vision, mission, and measurable goals for the Web site.
- Conduct current state Technology assessment
- Conduct current state technical requirements analysis
- Assessment Deliverables include: Summary report of results of interviews, assessments and Goals
User & Task Analysis
- Identify users of current application to develop a thorough understanding the target audience, typical tasks, and specific constraints.
- Analyze user needs, requirements, and satisfaction levels. Analysis will address user characteristics, environmental characteristics, and task characteristics.
- Develop user profiles/personas (list of user characteristics).
- Develop task matrix (tasks ranked by user groups), task lists (ranked by importance, frequency, and feasibility), and task flow/process diagrams (diagram of steps in a task/process).
- Collect and review secondary market research related to audience.
- User & Task Analysis Deliverables include: Summary report of data collection findings and recommendations
Information Architecture and Content Organization
- Analyze current site structure and make recommendations for improvements based on user needs and task characteristics.
- Perform terminology and labeling analysis to ensure site is using logical and intuitive terminology based on users’ knowledge levels.
- Organize site content and main categorization based on users’ needs.
- Develop wireframes, page schematics and interface specifications based on research-based usability engineering practices to assist design and programming teams in implementation of site organization.
- Provide consultation on user interface designs to ensure layout, design and organization is useful, usable and accessible.
- Conduct at least one group review of paper prototypes, wireframe mock-ups, or low-level prototypes of information architecture and wireframes with project team.
- Create high-level site map and site navigation strategy.
- Information Architecture Deliverables Include: Wireframes, page schematics and interface specifications, Site map and navigation strategy, Summary report of findings and recommendations of usability testing of prototype
Final Visual Design and Technical Requirements
- Skin wireframes with client approved look and feel
- Finalize technical requirements documentation based on approached design
